Planned Storage Ring Complex at GSI

چکیده

Major research fields at the proposed accelerator facility at GSI are Antiproton (pbar) physics, nuclear physics with rare isotope (RI) beams and atomic physics. Various storage rings (SR) will give access to novel experiments. In the Conceptual Design Report (CDR) [1] a 13 Tm-SR complex consisting of a Collector Ring CR, a New Experimental Storage Ring NESR, and a 50 Tm-High Energy Storage Ring HESR had been proposed. In the meantime, a fourth 13 Tm-ring, RESR, was added, which is employed mainly for pbar accumulation [2].
